About Us
My name is Nicholas Alexander, founder of Go Wild Nutrition.
After a back surgery went wrong, I was told I might never walk again. My recovery began in a wheelchair, then progressed to crutches, and eventually a cane. During that process, I became focused on rebuilding my strength and improving my nutrition.
That search led me to crickets.
I discovered that cricket protein is one of the most nutrient-dense and sustainable protein sources available. Instead of sourcing it from overseas, I decided to raise them myself.
What started with raising crickets in my basement grew into something much bigger.
While operating out of a licensed commercial kitchen in Ellicottville, New York, we began producing our first products under state inspection. From the beginning, we committed to doing things the right way — working with trusted testing partners like Cornell University and operating under the oversight of the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets while following FDA food safety regulations.
Today, Dalayla Cricket Farms is the first and only cricket farm in New York State producing crickets for human consumption.
Everything we do happens under one roof in New York. We raise our own crickets, produce our products in-house, and handle every step of the process — from farming and cooking to packaging — to ensure the highest level of quality and safety.
From a wheelchair to running every day, and from a basement startup to helping build a new agricultural category in New York, this company was built on resilience, discipline, and doing things the right way.
And we’re just getting started.
